Co-Hosting Dates
IMPORTANCE NOTICE
As of April 1 2025, we will start using zoom for all interviews and co-hosting events on Radiodowntown.ca When a date is agreed upon we will send you a link that you can open on your computer (not a cell phone) and we can do a quick "test connect" at least 10 days prior to your LIVE on air event. If the "test connect" is missed we will have to reschedule the event date when a spot is available. All times listed are in EST (Toronto) .Times to select are available below.
Co-Hosting on Radiodowntown.ca
Option 1: Co-Host/Feature One of Our Regular Shows
Join us live on air as a guest co-host for any of our regular shows! You'll get the chance to share your story, chat with our audience about your musical journey, and even have a few of your tracks featured during the broadcast. It's a fantastic way to connect with your fans and introduce your music to our global audience. Before selecting a date you must already be on rotation with Radiodowntown.ca for at least 30 days.
Option 2: Co-Host "The Perfect Note"
Take center stage as the exclusive co-host of The Perfect Note. This special show is all about you and your music, offering an in-depth exploration of your musical journey. Host John K will guide the conversation with insightful questions, creating a captivating experience for our listeners. The playlist? 100% your music! Before selecting a date you must already be on rotation with Radiodowntown.ca for at least 30 days.
Both co-hosting experiences are conducted via Zoom, ensuring high-quality audio while keeping the video private for the host and co-host. To guarantee a seamless show, a test connection is required at least 7 days before the live broadcast.

Zoom Requirements:
Please ensure that you have internet connection on your computer.
While not necessary, headphones are advisable for better audio quality.
You should have either a computer mic or an external mic for clear communication.
Additionally, having a webcam is advisable for visual engagement with JohnK.
Submission of Tunes:
Please send or make sure we have at least four tunes as MP3 or WAV files to julia@radiodowntown.ca.
These tunes will be part of our broadcast, so ensure they are in the appropriate format and quality.
If you have already supplied these we thank you.
Test Connection with JohnK:
Prior to the show, we'll need to conduct a test connection on Zoom at least 10 days prior to the date of the show for approximately 10 minutes.
A connection link will be sent to your email on arranged dates
During this test, we'll go over show details and ensure everything is set up correctly for the live broadcast. Before selecting a date you must already be on rotation with Radiodowntown.ca for at least 30 days.
Scheduling:
Once you've sent in the tunes and have a link sent to you for Zoom, we can meet on Zoom we can mutually agree on a few possible dates for the show.
Social Media Postings:
We do require at least a head and shoulders photo of the person who will be on the interview for social media posts. MUST be sent in 7 days prior to Live Show.
Live Broadcast:
The show will be broadcast live on air, so it's essential that we're both prepared and ready to engage with our audience.

We realize there may be a time difference, our times are shown in Eastern Time Zone Canada (Toronto)

Weekdays 9am - Co-Host/Feature: For indie artists, customers - Simply a chance to promote yourself
Weeknights 7pm - JohnK as a co-host during one of his regular shows for chat and music
Center Stage Mavericks - A chance for Independent artists to promote themselves and their music (Exclusive) Saturdays 9am and 1pm only
NOTE 1: Any Monday through Friday at 9am can be secured by simply letting us know which day you prefer. Try to give us at lease 10 days notice if you can.
NOTE 2: To co-host one of our regular shows with JohnK, select a two hour show from below that starts at 7pm weekdays (Mondays: Motown Mondays, Wednesdays: JukeBox Hwy 1, Thursdays: Smooth Jazz on the Rocks, Fridays: Super 70's Show)
